ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

As part of a regional trade facilitation program in West Africa, funded by a group of donors (USAID, EU and the Netherlands) and executed jointly by the World Bank Group (WBG) and GIZ, WBG is looking for a firm to conduct a survey on cross border small traders. The selected firm will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data and information from traders, traders associations, border officials, market vendors and other relevant stakeholders at the identified target locations, with the aim of shading light upon the following areas:

⦁ The nature of cross-border trade⦁ Barriers and impediments to trade⦁ Gender-specific issues related to trade⦁ Institutional analysis of key Small-scale cross-border trade (SSCBT) stakeholders

Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html) by May 3rd, 2018. The submission should not exceed 10 pages.

NOTESFollowing this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.

Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.
